The Sim Shagaya Community Scholarship
The Sim Shagaya Community Centre Scholarship, in partnership with Miva Open University, offers indigenes of Langtang North and South the chance to pursue higher education at an affordable cost. Through this initiative, eligible students can study any undergraduate programme at Miva for a flat tuition fee of ₦150,000 per session, a reduction made possible by Sim Shagaya’s commitment to giving back to his community. This scholarship goes beyond easing financial burdens. It’s about opening doors, creating opportunities, and equipping the next generation of Langtang sons and daughters with the skills and knowledge to thrive and lead.

Eligibility: Candidates must provide a certificate of origin from Langtang North or South. Applicants must have received an offer of admission into Miva Open University. Existing Miva students from Langtang are also eligible (under the exams clause). Candidates must be willing to sit for all exams at the Langtang Community Centre. Please note that exams cannot be taken at any other location. This scholarship is valid only for undergraduate programmes.
